I feel great for having survived Xmas and the New Year celebrations. I’ve always liked the month of January. A time to look ahead and look forward to achieving your goals in the year ahead.

Happy New Year to you all
I’ve been guilty of neglecting my blog and while I’m not a great fan of new year resolutions, I will vow to keep you updated on what amuses and delights me.
Frameworks and grids
Okay, so I’ve been hyper-busy checking out all kinds of templates to help me build my web pages. Bootstrap, Skeleton, Pure, Toast, Kube and Foundation has taken up far too much of my time. I’ve finally decided on the latter and I love all that Foundation offers.
All set for an Aussie – Kiwi Final
The rugby World Cup just continues to thrill. It’s a gift that keeps on giving. That fact the hosts have offered very little to the spectacle, remains a regret, but I’m enjoying the party.
A sporting event to thrill everyone
I watch too much sport. Far too much. Sport is the only thing on my TV. I’m sure I take many top sporting events for granted. I take a passing interest and really don’t really invest any take emotion to the outcome (except when Arsenal play Chelsea). But last night was different.
Lost in animation
Had a couple of days working from home this week, which is something I rarely do. I much prefer working in a busy office. But it was a fun project and I increased my knowledge of CSS animations.
Classless manager, classless club
It’s been a while since I’ve really been angered by the outcome of a football much. Years back, my weekend would have been completely ruined by Arsenal losing. It was pretty pathetic looking back. But the old demons returned following our defeat to Chelsea.
Delights at the Design Fiesta
Many thanks to all who organised yesterday’s Design Fiesta in London. Great presentations, inspirational speakers, talented attendees from across the design industry and to finish the day off, a free bar.
A week of copying and pasting
Now many of us who works in design will testify that the much of their time is spend following procedures, templates and set patterns. Once the big idea has been signed off, it’s up to the production team to ensure the idea is put into practice by following a strict set of guidelines. I fully accept this. But boy, this week has been a slog.
We need more gunboats…
The plea from one of the newspaper reviewers which Sky News reels in each morning. I often feel “Where do they find these people when watching ‘Celebrity BB'”, but I increasingly feel the same when listening to the extreme, ludicrous views of these reviewers.
