All set for an Aussie – Kiwi Final

Rugby World Cup Final

The rugby World Cup just continues to thrill. It’s a gift that keeps on giving. That fact the hosts have offered very little to the spectacle, remains a regret, but I’m enjoying the party.

The stadia are full, the quality of play is consistently eye catching and even the officials are joining in the fun. The likes of Wayne Barnes, Nigel Owens, Jérôme Garcès and Romain Poite have performed magnificently and they all have added to the spectacle. The Wales v Australia match was just fantastic. Who says you need tries to enjoy rugby matches. I can’t wait for the knock out games. I’m pleased the Aussies got the better of the Welsh. It keeps Australia away from the Kiwi’s until a potential final. If Wales had won, you would have been left with the three southern hemisphere giants in one side of the draw. It would be a fitting end to see a final between Australia and New Zealand.

The only mildly annoying feature of the tournament?? Seeing fans enjoy the game with a beer in their hand. When are football fans going to be trusted with drinking weak, lukewarm, overpriced lager???
