So we’re now into September. So far I’ve won not a single penny on my football bets. I’m getting a little uneasy. You start fearing it just may be one of those seasons. The pressure is on.
But I’m not moaning. I enjoy taking on the bookies, even though it’s pretty much a one-sided contest at the moment. Even today I’m not too upset and boy I have reason to be a bit peeved. Today the failure of Mansfield and AFC Wimbledon to muster a third goal between them has cost me the pricey sum of £291.31.
Mansfield opened the scoring in the 6th minute and AFC Wimbledon equalised in the 15th minute. So they had 75 minutes for either side to clinch a winner. A total of 21 attempts on goal. Wonderful. I’m not a vindictive person, but hope both are relegated come May.
